How
Do I Learn theExact Word’s
Methods
(& Why Should I)?
English
doesn’t work the way you
think it does.
English operates by four patterns.
They each have a formula.
Each is symbolized by a
color: Blue, Pink, Green,
or Orange. Becoming aware
of these patterns and
using them by design adds
new harmony to your life
and new knowledge about
how to use the best of
your mind. (Really - since
we all - no choice - have
default thinking, you can
expect a future where you
choose between default
thinking or new design.)
You yourself will identify
your style and language
habits; you will consider
your strengths combined
with useful strategies in
new ways. You will
simplify the definition of
English to two sets of
patterns used in only two
ways. Using theExact
Word, you will
learn to articulate
implied meaning and new
methods for
communicating. You
will gain objectivity and
the habit of
communications
self-assessment for life.

Who
Should Learn These
Methods?
- Anyone
who writes or thinks in
English and anyone who
works with people who
think in more than one
way.
- Anyone
who values mastery of
thought. Anyone who
wants to match thought
to wording.
- Anyone
who uses thought and
wording to reveal new
perspectives.
- Anyone
who would like to think
in more than one way.
- Anyone
who would like to
improve relationships
with others.
- Anyone
needing to close the
collaboration gap.
- Anyone
wanting to close the
achievement gap for
first and multi-language
students alike.

Where
Did the Patterns Come
From?
History Sampler from The
Monks' Moment
The
patterns came from a group
of people riding horses
and walking from today’s
Russian Georgia to
Scandinavia and later
sailing to the British
Isles. Meanwhile,
they spoke the roots of
English which, however,
they never wrote down.
Instead, they used only
the runes, which are
cuneiform symbols, which
they used solely on
memorial stones. A small
group of monks, sent by
Pope Gregory the Great,
captured the oral Anglisc,
replacing the symbolic
runes with their alphabet,
then developing a writing
system from Latin with a
“Latin Operating System”
(LOS) of word
endings. Remember,
since this paragraph only
summarizes briefly, click

Monks' Moment for

As to
where theExact Word’s
methods originated, read The Martian Moment.
What
Are theExact Word’s
Methods?
theExact Word
has modernized the Latin
Operating System (LOS)
model which creates a
rule-governed science for
English, without
exceptions.
Pedagogically, theExact Word
has innovated a
descriptive definition of
how English really
works. Our BOS
(Brain Operating System)
Method guides
teachers, administrators,
students and parents. For
undergraduate and post
graduate programs,
workplaces or for
self-teaching, the ThoughtPrint
Gateways to
MasteryMethod
creates theExact Word
Experience for groups or
individuals. Other
workplace, academic, or
inter-personal programs
are available.

What Will I
Learn From theExact Word’s
Methods?
You will
learn that if you can
count to two you can
master the English
language. The two
sets of patterned thought
eliminate all exceptions
and combine in two ways.
English grammar, inherited
from the Romance
languages, inadvertently
veils meaning. In fact,
very differently, and not
bound by word endings, the
four patterns of English
meaning overlap and
connect complexities with
remarkable
simplicity.
As an idea language,
English needs elbow room.
Although English speakers
aspire to mastery, many
people battle with
grammatical terms,
(gerund, dangling
participle), and
definitions which don’t
fit (“nouns” in English
can be groups of
words). Because each pattern of
thought has only two
rule-governed uses, you
can eliminate pesky
exceptions and complicated
nomenclature to instead
concentrate on meaning.
These four patterns form
every sentence that you
see, write, say, or
hear. You know them,
but you don’t know you
know them. You
use them by default or
design, no choice.
You don’t learn them as
much as recognize
them.

Now… Look
at the last two paragraphs
again, “in color:”
You
will learn
that if you can count
to two, you can master
the English language.

thought eliminate

Note:
For a quick grasp of
theExact Word’s
value, read each “color”
separately. You will
see a different line of
reasoning in each.
Your writing, too, can
gain these deliberately
designed dimensions of
thought. "Read one color"
at a time. For
example, all the Blue here
address both English
mastery and conventional
problems reaching
it. The Pink,
Conditionals, focus on
specifics for bringing
your subconscious
knowledge to conscious
design. The Green
Processes suggest how you
can change your use of how
English really works. And
the Orange Background
Details state how and in
what way you will become
conscious of the four
patterns of English from
materials or training.

What
Practical Applications Do
These Methods Give Me?
You gain
a new paradigm. You
can revolutionize your
understanding of others,
of context, of writing, of
multiple perspectives and
even your own
thinking. You will
write better, understand
people and yourself
better. You can
master English and
critical thinking in a
remarkably short period of
time.
How Long Do
I Need to Learn This
Method?
Adults,
including those teaching
theExact Word’s
methods, need
approximately 30 workshop
hours. Students have
flourished and their
scores have risen
dramatically as a result,
in seven months.
Also, theExact Word
offers one-day
ThoughtPrint &
ThoughtMapping and
short-term, tailored
consulting for improving
communications in any
environment.
Teachers customarily also
attend 18 hours of
follow-up training.

Apparently
for life. Many past
participants still use the
method after twenty years.
Specific outcomes
vary as people achieve new
possibilities. Starting in
2015, the “Kudos Hall of
Fame” on this site and as
news on Facebook will
chronicle these
experiences. Adults gain
new power in the workplace
and their careers.
Students surprise
themselves by beginning to
see new possibilities for
themselves.
Why
Will I Remember The
Methods?
You will
remember them because you
gain the power of designed
thought out loud. In other
words, you will not
"grope" for "what I mean
or meant to say." You will
never not see the
context underlying all
your sentencing. Grammar
teaches correct word forms
but not meaning.
Nonetheless, the binary
BOS and Gateway Methods do
resonate with English
grammar which
interestingly also has a
binary logic.
(See the text, LOS to BOS,
The Elements Bridge to
English Grammar.)
What’s
“new under the sun,”
is how The BOS Method
combines the mechanically
correct with context
meaning. theExact Word’s
training in any form
literally shifts your
paradigms – your language
habits, your views about
how to communicate, your
understanding of language,
of other people, and, very
often, about you.
You’ll learn that when you
change the pattern of your
thought, by Flipping,
Nesting, and Blending, you
change the meaning.
When you change the
meaning, you’ll change
your thinking, even your
realities themselves
because you define events
and details in new ways
and with new focus.
Thinking with context
expands your
options. Saying
something difficult
becomes an occasion for
diplomacy, not silence or
rancor. Therefore,
relationships, workplaces,
writing, multiple
perspectives, and thinking
with new options, often
transform. At the
least, you will gain new
insight about communication
power.
